New year, new life together! On Jan. 1, Simon "Skygrass" Bowden got down on one knee and asked the "love of his life" comedian and recording artist Nicole Arbour to be his wife.

The two were introduced when Skygrass played guitar on Nicole's upcoming single "This Is It" recorded in Kingston, Jamaica, early 2023. When the producer that was booked had a family emergency, Skygrass—known for working with top artists in reggae and dance hall like the reggae legend Mykal Rose from Black Uhuru, Bugle, Wayne Marshall, Beenie Man, Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid, and Mr. Vegas—stepped in to produce the session and sparks flew.

"I had more fun in that session than I ever had on a date ever. It was instant. Like long-lost best friends. We laughed our butts off and haven't stopped laughing since," said Nicole.

A spokesperson close to the couple stated, "It was important to them to keep the relationship private while dating, never posting as a couple. Although, fans were starting to speculate they were together when the two were seen in Toronto with Sean Paul, then at the 2023 World MMA Awards in Vegas where Nicole presented Gym of the Year alongside MMA royalty Dana White and Dustin Poirier."

Canadian-born comedian and recording artist Nicole Arbour, who has over 5 million online fans and 1.9 billion video views, is tickled to marry former high fashion model turned producer and artist Skygrass, who plays Cat Coore from Third World in the upcoming Bob Marley movie Bob Marley: One Love, because they have the same morals and values.

"We pray before meals, we believe in God and manifesting, we cheer for our friends and believe in love and community. All the important stuff was there instantly so it was easy," says Arbour.

"And it meant so much that he asked me with just the two of us," she adds. "It was on the side of the mountain overlooking Kingston. I was completely surprised, and we both teared up. Apparently I said YES!!!! And snatched that big ole ring out of the box haha. I'm just so giddy and can't wait to build a life with my forever #GOTEAM mate!"

Bowden proposed with an oversized princess cut diamond white gold ring. The couple posted an announcement on Nicole's Instagram which was flooded with over 1,000 comments congratulating them.
