And just like that, we're knockin' on heaven's door.
Because—sing it with us—it's almost paradissssssse with Bachelor in Paradise season 9 premiering Sept. 28 just after we get our long-awaited first look at Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner's refined courting style. And host Jesse Palmer promised this trip to Mexico would be "wild".
"It's gonna be a lot of Bachelor Nation's favorites from recent seasons showing up," Palmer told E! News of the stacked cast that includes former Bachelorettes Rachel Recchia and Katie Thurston, plus the latter's onetime fiancé Blake Moynes. "People are laughing, crying. There's tons of drama—understandably and expectantly."
And, yes, there's reason to believe Neil Lane, or at least his collection of diamond-laden wares, might make an appearance.
"People at home are gonna be really surprised at who ends up coupling up and who potentially finds love on the beach this summer," Palmer explained. "I bet there are some couples that nobody saw coming, that no one will be able to connect in the beginning. [Like], 'There's no way it's going to be these two people.' And that's what inevitably happens."
It's no secret the franchise's ocean-front, slightly more drunken cousin boasts a much better track record than the OG hit. In just the past few weeks alone, season six's Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour plus Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert have tied the knot. And season seven's Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile said "I do" for the second time while Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch are set to make their way down the aisle later this year.
But every rose does have its thorn. (Pour one Wells Adams'-crafted margarita out for Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby.)
So before we all start our journey to 'shipping (or seriously questioning) the next Bachelor Nation duos, we're checking in to see how the rest of our faves are faring.
