What is going on with Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon?

They were reportedly getting cozy in Las Vegas this past weekend, and now I just spotted the two of them together at the Beverly Hills Hotel!

The pair were sitting in the backseat of a very large black Bentley stopped at the entrance of the hotel, which was preventing other cars from coming and going. Not sure what the deal was, but the two stayed put as a couple of gals from their entourage kept getting in and out of the car.

Carey, 39, and Cannon, 27, never left the luxury sedan and were finally whisked away by their driver around 8:30 p.m.

The songbird performed earlier on the night on American Idol. None of my sources saw Cannon at Idol, so it's unclear if he was there.

People magazine reported earlier this week that Carey and Cannon hung out in Vegas on Monday night after taking a private jet to Sin City together. They appeared quite friendly at Privé at Planet Hollywood, where Nick was deejaying.

The two met in March, when Cannon made a cameo in one of her music videos.

ROYAL FANFARE:  Prince, chilling upstairs in the VIP room at club Goa in Hollywood, where DJ Eque paid tribute to the rock star by playing his tunes all night.

CROWD CONTROL:  Fergie, hitting Chateau Marmont in L.A. with an entourage in tow, as Cameron Diaz had dinner with a pal at one table and lovebirds Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans did the same at another.

ICE AGE:  Carmen Electra, downing Siku Glacier Ice Vodka cocktails with rocker boyfriend Rob Patterson during her birthday party at Temporary Spaces in Hollywood.

FOOD STOP:  Andrew Keegan and Shawn Pyfrom, with friends at separate tables dining at 3rd Stop in Los Angeles.

A Gossip Girl hottie. A fierce beachgoer. And Eddie Murphy celebrates the big 5-0. Read on to learn all about what some of our fave celebs were up to this weekend in Las Vegas...

Tao was jamming on Saturday night. Project Runway winner Christian Siriano held court in one corner, while Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian helped brother Rob celebrate his 22nd birthday with his Cheetah Girls girlfriend, Adrienne Bailon.

Also there? Wilmer Valderrama, Dave Annable, Joey Fatone, Chris Evans, Lindsay Price and Rick Fox.

During the day, some of the above mentioned celebs stripped down to their bathing suits. But not Siriano. He stayed protected from the sun in jeans and a T-shirt. Meanwhile, Chace Crawford (in Vegas to cheer on his sister, Candice, who is Miss Missouri, in the Miss USA Pageant) hung out with Price, and Fatone wore a T-shirt that read "I beat anorexia."

Eddie Murphy also celebrated a birthday in Vegas. On Friday night, he toasted turning 50 with about 10 friends, including Arsenio Hall, at the Bank at the Bellagio.

They sipped Grey Goose cocktails and Perrier Jouët champagne, and his cake was decorated with stills from some of his most famous flicks. Murphy & Co. didn’t exit the place until about 2:30 a.m.

Also on Friday, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett hit Jet after their headlining show at the Mirage. And yes, that was Garrett spending most of the night on the dance floor.

Diamonds—and rubies and gold—really are Fergie’s best friend.

The Black Eyed Peas frontwoman showed off a dazzling array of Cartier jewels during her joint birthday celebration with Quentin Tarantino last night in Las Vegas, with six different pieces that added up to being worth nearly $150,000!

Among the glamorous goodies were $52,100 white diamond and ruby earrings worn to the Mirage’s Jet nightclub, along with a matching $23,000 bracelet.

For the reception at the Bare Pool Lounge, Ms. Fergie slipped on a Dolce & Gabbana dress plus a Cartier Love diamond and ceramic bracelet worth $35,100 and a $23,100 necklace (above).

No word if the famed jewelry house let her keep any of the baubles.

What is up with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? Seriously, it’s almost a full-time job trying to keep track of their ups and downs.

The two have been in Las Vegas for the last couple of days but staying at separate hotels. On Wednesday, they were reportedly seen arguing. Don't worry, there were camera crews from The Hills there to capture all the drama.

Well, last night the reality-TV romance may have been back on for at least part of the evening. Montag and Pratt were spotted having drinks along with Pratt’s sister, Stephanie, at Cut at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.

I’m told they arrived at about 7p.m. and stayed for a couple of hours. They hung out in a banquette in the restaurant’s lounge area. “Spencer was leaning into Heidi,” an eyewitness reports. “He almost had his head on her shoulder.”

Montag’s rep just told me, “They are working on their relationship!”

Meanwhile, I'm told the two may be at the opening of their trainer John Damon's Active Fitness gym tonight in Santa Monica.

Who else is on the guest list? Brody Jenner and his new girlfriend, trading-card lingerie model Cora Skinner.

A source tells me that Jenner and Skinner will be there after flying back to L.A. today from a vacation in Cabo.
