Considering how zoning disputes tend to be so very unhip, Lauren Conrad's father is stepping in to make sure his daughter doesn't have to worry her pretty little head about one.

E! News has learned exclusively that Jim Conrad has contacted the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to set up a meeting to talk about his little girl's new living arrangement with former housemate Audrina Patridge, which could constitute a possible code violation.

Now that Lauren Bosworth is L.C.'s roomie, Patridge has moved into what the elder Conrad says was a preexisting guest house on the property.

And apparently a little too much noise on a Sunday morning and a bit of a parking crunch—and who knows what else—have ticked off at least one Hills-side neighbor.

It was cute when Heidi Montag declared she would be the ScarJo to John McCain’s Obama and then McCain responded by saying he never missed an episode of The Hills. But we had hoped that would be just a one time jokey-joke thing.

Sadly, it’s not.

Reality TV’s biggest publicity whore spent yesterday power lunching with McCain Blogette, or as she’s more formally known: Meghan McCain, daughter of the Republican presidential hopeful.

While the "real" in reality has always been questionable when it comes to The Hills, it seems Spencer Pratt truly is that guy everybody loves to hate—at least according to Mary-Kate Olsen.

During her appearance Thursday night on the Late Show with David Letterman, M.K. reveals she actually knew Speidi's lesser half back in the day.

"He used to play on the soccer team for my high school, and he does not have a good temper," said the Wackness actress. "He walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field."

Now, if we could just get him to walk out of our lives.

The Hills rolled through trendy Fred Segal today, proving retail therapy can make gal-pals out of anyone. Even Audrina Patridge and Lo Bosworth, whom we last saw at odds for Lauren Conrad's good favor on the show.
