Sarah Jessica Parker's Celebrity Mole
Here's a shocking celebrity split.
E! News can confirm that Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has parted ways with her signature mole.
“Yes, she’s had it removed,” said a source close to the actress today.
While reasons for the removal are unclear, we’re told the procedure was “no big deal.”
In photos taken last night of the actress making a public service announcement with Sheryl Crow at Yankee Stadium for the MLB All-Star game, Parker's glowing face had a glaring absence: Her beauty mark had disappeared.
Looks like Carrie Bradshaw will be traveling a bit lighter should that SATC sequel ever come around.
Ivy Grows on Sarah Jessica Parker
Now that Sarah Jessica Parker's Big moment is behind her, it's time to start thinking about her post-Sex life.
The actress who never met a funny hat she didn't like is in talks to star in The Ivy Chronicles, a dramedy about a single gal making her way in New York.
If that sounds a little too familiar, this time around Parker would play newly divorced mom Ivy Ames, who loses her high-powered job and has to give up her uptown digs for an apartment more suited to...well, someone like Carrie Bradshaw.
A Glorious Night of Sex in New York City
Sex and the City finally came home.
After a round of premieres and press in Europe, Sarah Jessica Parker & Co. hit Radio City Music Hall in New York City tonight for the movie’s U.S. premiere.
SJP looked incredible in a silver floor-length Nina Ricci gown and 19th-century jewels from Fred Leighton. The 3,000 or so people filling the theater cheered as she made her way in. The second-loudest round of hootin’ and hollerin’ went to Chris “Mr. Big” Noth.
And who was there? Among the premiere guests munching on popcorn and sipping the new SATC Vitaminwater called XXX were Bette Midler, Katie Couric, Molly Sims, Regis Philbin, Mary J. Blige, Donald and Melania Trump, Joan Allen, Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Christian Siriano, Edie Falco, Todd Oldham, Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber and funnylady Amy Sedaris.
Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, who plays Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in the movie, flew in from her Chicago hometown and spent a good amount of time chatting in the lobby with Fergie, who sings the new SATC title song.
And now let me tell you about the after-party...
Exclusive
Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex, Shoes and Miley Cyrus
Sarah Jessica Parker jetted to England a couple of days ago for the start of an almost two-week European tour in support of Sex and the City through London, Berlin and Paris.
But before you think how Carrie Bradshaw it all sounds, you should know she doesn’t like being away from hubby Matthew Broderick and 5-year-old son James Wilkie for too long.
So she has a plan to keep in touch with her little man. "I speak to him probably three times a day, and we have a whole system of staying in touch,” Parker told me over the phone from London. "And Matthew is, I must say, brilliantly handling things. I’m so impressed!"
Sweet, no? So then let's get to the Sex, shall we? Read on for my exclusive one-on-one with SJP. We talk about Mr. Big, her favorite SATC episode and why her son won’t be watching the hit HBO series for many more years to come...
Sarah Jessica's Fashion Emergency
"Aren't we all supposed to be a little bit the victim of trends? I can look back at pictures of myself with the great assurance that I will be embarrassed by about 60 percent of them. This is the nature of fashion—admiring the wrong girl, you know, looking at the wrong picture, wishing you were somebody else. And that's the developmentally correct thing."
—Sarah Jessica Parker to Vogue, on her misguided fashion choices in the '80s
And that's not all the SJP that E! Online has for you today. Make sure to come back for Marc Malkin's exclusive one-on-one with Parker direct from her whirlwind European Sex and the City press tour. Learn what she has to say about her fave SATC episode, reuniting with Mr. Big and when she thinks she'll allow her now 5-year-old son, James Wilkie, to finally watch the sexy series.
Sex Scenes: Sneak Peeks at SATC
Love, marriage, waxing. Admit it, you've missed Sarah Jessica Parker and the women of Sex and the City far more than you can put into words.
So forget about words. Just watch. Check out the trailer for the Sex and the City movie above, and then click in for a look at three (yes, three!) scenes from the film, which opens May 30.
As Carrie Bradshaw once (could have) asked, "Will we still crave Sex if we have to go to the theater to get it?" Check out the clips and tell us in the comments.
SJP to Spend Her Summer Being a Mom
You know what? Boys do cry. Men sometimes eat quiche, and—here's the honest truth—there's nothing wrong with being a mama's boy.
Some of the luckiest guys in the world are boys like James Wilkie, the 5-year-old son of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick who gets to spend the entire summer with his mom at their beach house (she's taking the summer off just to hang with him she tells Parade magazine).
So while you're raising a glass of overpriced brunch champagne to toast your mom, take a look at some of these other lucky fellas who have all benefited from unconditional maternal love...
Robert Downey Jr.'s Greatest Love Story
Love.
In a story as good as any film he’s done, Robert Downey Jr. tells Parade magazine how boy met girl (Sarah Jessica Parker), boy met drugs, boy lost girl.
“I was in love with Sarah Jessica, and love clearly was not enough,” he tells the mag. “She provided me a home and understanding. She tried to help me. She was so miffed when I didn’t get my act together.”
Downey spent years spiraling out of control before meeting Susan Levin. When love struck this time, Downey vowed not to make the same mistake:
Beat Ben @ the Box Office: Surf Gangs vs. Slashers vs. Smart People
Usually in Beat Ben, the game that's driving the Internet nuts, we break down the biggest movie of the weekend, which is more often than not, not the best movie. Well this week, I want to switch it up.
Bra Boys is the biggest non-IMAX documentary in the history of Australia. Produced by Daily 10's own Sal Masekela and his partner in Berkela Films, Jason Bergh, it's the story of a surfing gang from Down Under. It's incredibly powerful and extremely well done. It opens here in the states this weekend and is narrated by Oscar winner Russell Crowe.
