Lady Gaga is getting ready to shake it like a Polaroid picture creative director.

That's right, the woman who brought us "Paparazzi" has signed on to play muse to the instant-camera folks, assuming the role of "creative director and inventor of specialty products," as well as, for all intents and purposes, the face (and hat) of the company.

She always did strike us as an instant-gratification kind of girl...

She cemented her position by descending on the less fabulous folks at Las Vegas' Consumer Electronics Show yesterday, where she stressed that the multiyear deal was a true partnership of artistes and not just some run-of-the-mill endorsement pact. Lady Gaga, lest you need reminding, does not do run-of-the-mill.

"We won't be selling cameras with my face on them," she said. "I'm working on bringing the instant film camera back as part of the future."

The deal is already shaping up to be a more beneficial match than the last time a famous face decided to advise a once-failing firm. After all, Lindsay never got business cards this awesome.

While no new Polaroid products were announced at CES, the Grammy nominee said she's been a longtime fan of the brand—evidenced by her passionate reaction to the company's 2001 bankruptcy filing and subsequent decision to stop making their film.

"I was outraged," she said. "I'm interested in bringing it back...and combining it with the digital era and making something new.

"I'm definitely a Polaroid camera girl. For me, what I'm really excited about is bringing back the artistry and the nature of Polaroid."

And she'll be getting a little bit of help along the way. Haus of Gaga, come on down!

"The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography/innovation—blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era—and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand.

"Lifestyle, music, art, fashion: I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer and to—as my father puts it—finally have a real job."

Lord Gaga should definitely be proud.
