Sharon Osbourne: The Talk host had lap-band surgery in 1999, but experienced quite a bit of illness with it, and thus had it removed.

"As you know, I got the lap-band and lost a ton of weight, but it made me so sick," she told Us Weekly in 2012. "That's why I had to remove it. But when I removed it, I gained about 45 lbs."

Osbourne turned to the Atkins Diet in early 2012, which helped her lose 28 lbs. leading up to her 60th birthday. "It has been a life changing experience," she said of the low-carb diet. "It's really not a diet. It's a lifestyle change."

Al Roker: The Today Show host decided to have weight loss surgery in 2002 and has been very open about his experience. Since then, he's continued to keep the weight off through healthy, homemade eating and finding a passion in working out, especially running. In fact, he's even found joy in completing marathons.

However, Roker admits that people who have struggled with eating and their weight in the past can definitely fall back into the routine, even after surgery.

"The problem with people who are suffering, struggling with their weight is that you make a mistake, you go off your plan, and it's either all or nothing," he said in an article in 2013. "I just think you can't look at this as dieting; it's a lifestyle. You have to change your life."

Randy Jackson: The former American Idol judge had reached 350 lbs. before he decided to have weight loss surgery in 2001. Today, maintains his slimmer figure, but he's admitted it takes a lot of self control.

"For the old Dawg, a holiday party was a chance to have something to eat, drink, and be merry," he told WedMD. "But the new Randy does not drink or eat at parties."

Roseanne Barr: The comedienne had gastric bypass surgery back in 1998, but she still struggled to control her weight. Ten years after the surgery, she realized she weighed 300 lbs. Thus, she decided to take her life into her own hands and make major changes. While she dabbled in yo-yo dieting for several years after that, she only found success when she embraced a total lifestyle change that is actually quite simple.

"I went on a new diet," she said on the Today Show in 2014. "It's radical and revolutionary. It's where you eat less and move more!"

Carnie Wilson: The singer and television host had gastric bypass surgery in 1999, taking her from a size 28 to a size 6 when she lost 150 lbs. However, she ended up gaining the weight back years later and went back under the knife in 2012 for lap-band surgery.

"After the pregnancies, I lost my focus," she told People of her weight gain after giving birth to her second daughter. "I reverted back to old habits. I'd snack on my kids' food, a scone, half a doughnut, cookies. One day I counted what I'd eaten-it added up to 2,300 calories!"

Now, she makes it a "daily decision" to eat well and control herself.
