A New Jersey Grand Jury has officially indicted the truck driver responsible for severely injuring Tracy Morgan and killing another man, James McNair, during a car crash in June 2014.

E! News obtained the documents and can confirm Kevin Roper will be charged on eight counts of third-degree aggravated assault for causing bodily injury to Morgan as well as three others involved in the crash. He has also been indicted on one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter and one count of second-degree vehicular homicide for causing the death of McNair.

The accident occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, 2014 while Roper was driving a Walmart truck. Roper's lawyer originally argued that Morgan's highly-publicized lawsuit against the major corporation would not result in a fair trial for his client, and thus they brought the trial to a Grand Jury.

Meanwhile, Morgan has taken major steps in his recovery process. After making his first public appearance while being honored at the Emmy Awards in September, he has since returned to Saturday Night Live and even announced a nationwide stand-up tour.

As he promised during an interview with the Today show this summer, "I love comedy. I love comedy. I will never stop loving her. I'll get back to making you laugh. I promise you."
