Watch: How Kim K. and Kanye West Will Celebrate 1st Anniversary

Kim Kardashian has babies on her brain.

The 34-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who has repeatedly spoken out about wanting to expand her family with Kanye West, opened up to E! News on Thursday while backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! The brunette beauty dished on trying for baby No. 2, her upcoming one-year anniversary with her rapper hubby, and even shared what the two have learned since tying the knot in May 2014.

"You just learn all the little things about each other," the E! star, who was promoting her new book Selfish, which is available May 5, shared. "We love to work out together. We love to have the TV on and I'm cooking and we're playing with our daughter. You know we have this routine…[we] love being together. And so I think you learn something about each other every single day when you're living together.

And while any marriage undoubtedly takes work, Kim couldn't help but adorably gush over her happy state. "They say that the first year and everything in marriage is the hardest, and I'm like, 'If this is the hardest, then life is going to be really good—because it's just not hard.'"

So sweet!

As for the couple's plans for their forthcoming wedding anniversary? Kim is hoping for a low-key celebration. "You know we were supposed to go to Africa. One of our good friends got us a safari for our wedding gift and I think we're just going to stay home and chill out. May is a really busy month for us, so I think we just want to hang out and relax," she said.

That is, of course, unless hubby Kanye West has a secret he's been hiding. "Unless he [Kanye] has something planned—he always has something up his sleeve and he always has something planned, so I don't know, but I don't put it past him to do something really special."

Asked whether the couple is planning to renew their vows in celebration of the milestone moment, the TV personality replied,  "I don't think yet—maybe 10 year. It was very exhausting—just planning a wedding, I couldn't plan it all over again."

But while we may have to wait for another wedding extravaganza, Kim and Kanye aren't wasting any time when it comes to trying for baby No. 2.

"We are trying. We try every single day. You can't try harder than we try," she admitted. "It's getting exhausting. He always says, 'Trying for baby No. 2 isn't as fun as trying to baby No. 1.'"

"I did go through a lot with the delivery and so we faced a couple challenges," she continued, "But we're literally trying everything that we can to make it happen, so I'm to the point now where it's not as stressful to me. And maybe that's when they say it happens.

She added that she and Kanye are committed to trying on their own, but they are open to the idea of a surrogate. "I think if it came to that point, but we've trying for over a year and I would maybe wait a couple of years until that point happened," she said.
