Dear readers, we are feeling some type of way this morning.
Last night was our much beloved Met Ball, where basically all of our favorite celebrities and designers walked the red (and pink and cream) carpet to show off what they deemed to be the best outfits they could muster. And some of them truly were. Rachel McAdams, Gigi Hadid and Rita Ora all stunned in their technology-inspired gowns.
But then there were the...questionable choices. We don't want to go straight to the negative and call them bad outfits, so we'll just say that the decisions to don these duds were just confusing. It's kind of like when you're watching a really awkward performance on The Voice and can't look away.
These perplexing moments are half the reason we're glued to the Met Ball year after year; it's entertaining as hell. 2016 in particular left us with so many feelings that we decided to share them all with you today. Consider it your morning after gift, to go along with the massive hangovers the stars are no doubt left with.
Zayn Malik's Half-Formed RoboCop
We Feel: Somber. Poor, poor Zayn. Not only is he confined to his metallic arm-jail, unable to even feed himself a snack or take a sip of champagne but he's also suffering a bit of remorse. We call it the I Let My Girlfriend Dress Me and Now I Regret It and Also Don't Know What to Do With My Arms syndrome.
Kimye's Otherworldiness
We Feel: Vibes. Outer space vibes, to be exact. Between Kim's sort-of missing eyebrows and Kanye's are-they-following-me-I-feel-like-they're-following-me fake lenses, we basically feel like we've been picked up by extraterrestrials. Let's just hope they play The Life of Pablo on other planets. Beam us up, Kimye!
Haim's The Shining Reboot
We Feel: Like we accidentally drank red rum. Individually, the sisters of Haim look gorgeous and we love their dresses. Collectively, they may or may not be a set of triplets whose heads may or may not spin all the way around. But in, like, a super chic and glamorous way? Just don't catch us alone in a hallway, girls.
Madonna's Missing Bra
We Feel: Confused. We totally want to party with Madonna. But we're also unsure if we'd be able to let loose, what with the constant concerns over indecent exposure. It's hard to take shots and hold your friend's dress up for her. Next time she should follow our steadfast rule: Show off your boobs or your butt, not both. #BoobsorButt.
